Eight-Year-Old Rolls Ceremonial Ball at World Series of Bowling on Saturday, November 19

Las Vegas, Nevada – The Professional Bowling Association (PBA) World Series of Bowling (WSOB) is underway in Las Vegas, Nevada. On Saturday, November 19th, eight-year-old Dan McCarty will roll out a ceremonial first ball with Brunswick Pro, Sean Rash, at 3:30 p.m.

Dan’s story is an incredible one – he lives with a disease called osteogenisis imperfecta also known as brittle bone disease. Despite his challenges, he is a remarkable little boy who wants to be an advocate for other children and individuals who live with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Dan’s positive spirit and charisma is contagious, this young man has asked to be a vital part of the Las Vegas chapter of Best Buddies to help educate the community about the importance of helping those with disabilities.

The history behind Dan McCarty and Sean Rash: Prior to the WSOB kick-off, Brunswick hosted a photo shoot for all Brunswick players. Brunswick was asked if individuals from Best Buddies could attend, of course Brunswick agreed. During this photo shoot, Dan McCarty and Brunswick Pro, Sean Rash, had an immediate and amazing connection.

Details for Saturday’s Ceremonial Roll: Dan and his family will enjoy a limousine ride from their home to South Point Hotel and Resort, have VIP access to the Brunswick media lounge and seating, and enjoy dinner at South Point. In addition, Dan will receive a signed photo of him and Sean Rash, an autographed Sean Rash jersey, Brunswick Viz-A-Ball® and have the opportunity to meet Brunswick/DV8 Pro Staff.

Brunswick Bowling & Billiards, a leader within the bowling industry, has worked directly with the Las Vegas Chapter of Best Buddies and the Professional Bowlers Association to create this special event to highlight Dan McCarty.
