    PBA50 Tour veteran Robert Harvey of Boise, Idaho, has been selected as the 2013 PBA50 Tour’s Dick Weber Sportsmanship Award winner by his fellow players marking the second time he has won the honor named after the legendary PBA Hall of Famer.

    Bowling in all 11 tournaments and leading all competitors with three titles, Williams led earnings with $41,175, competition points with 204,157 and he placed third on the average list – based upon a minimum of 150 games bowled – with a 229.46 average for 304 games.

    Reigning PBA50 Tour Player of the Year Walter Ray Williams Jr. of Ocala, Fla., defeated Mark Williams – no relation – of Beaumont, Texas, 217-198, to win the PBA50 Tour South Shore Open presented by DV8 at Olympia Lanes Thursday.

    WILLIAMS OVERTAKES MONACELLI IN PBA50 PLAYER OF THE YEAR RACE

    With his second victory of the year in the PBA50 Northern California Classic Wednesday in Brentwood, Calif., defending PBA50 Player of the Year Walter Ray Williams Jr. has overtaken fellow PBA Hall of Famer Amleto Monacelli by two points in the PBA50 Player of the Year race with three tournaments remaining on the 2013 schedule.
