Dick Weber Playoffs - Day 1

They just finished bowling the first round of pods. Please keep in mind the top 18 players have a bye and have not thrown a ball yet. The top 6, including Sean, have three byes and do not even bowl until Friday afternoon. The next 6, including Smalz, have two byes and bowl Friday morning. The next 6, including Ronnie Russell, have one bye and come into the tourney on Thursday evening.

Chris Loschetter and Brad Angelo are near the top in their pods. Chris is second in his pod and bowled great all day. He used an Anaconda we drilled last night and it looked really great, see photo below. It was nothing to fancy, pin is 5 inches and the angles are 45 × 65 with a smaller hole down a little. Brad is fifth in his pod and he also bowled pretty well using an Anaconda and Loaded Revolver. Most of his pins came in game 3 with a 290. This is a huge week for Brad and he needs a good finish to maintain his exemption for next season.

Parker had a few issues today with his mechanics and being a little too deep on the lanes. We talked and I feel he will have a much better night tonight. He is 60 pins out of the top 9 in his pod.

Dave Beres also had a pretty solid day and is just a few pins out of the top 9 in his pod.

Right now many of the top seeds are practicing, including Sean. Please keep following the Brunswick team all the way to the show this week.
